Restless Sleepless Thoughtless
Like a ghost roaming the earth, purpose long forgotten.
In a desperate attempt I curl up into a ball
Only to realize the cold isnt coming from the rain outside
But from weird sensations eating away at my insides.
Waking up from a hellish world possessing
My mind, the room dark, cold
Tears silently flowing down my cheeks.
Then I realize this nightmarish world
Is not a dream, but made from memories.
Was the experience really this harsh?
Was I really this broken?
Funny how time glosses over the sharp edges
To prevent us from receiving more wounds
From old memories and broken dreams.
Are you going to run
Now that Im showing my scars?
I may be weak sometimes
Yet I still want to carry your happiness
And keep walking
wherever that may lead to.
I harden the ghosts in my head into a weapon
Too sharp for anybody to see
And slay the beast that rapes my dreams, over and over again.
Yet to break the cycle I need fire that I alone cannot conjure
Could you hold my hand, and give me the power?
So that stones can sprout wings, and fly.

Just because you think it's whiny, doesn't think that we won't think it's incredible. ^_^

Even though you can try to release urself from your many shackles, and forge a life of your own, some chains are harder to break free from than others.

I love how you understand the emotions I put into my poems, even the ones that escape myself.
I would kind of like to write brighter poetry, but ... no, won't happen for a while. Things just keep happening.

But something is forming in my mind, the areas that the shock is beginning to recede from... so, expect the peak of whinyness soon.

It will help me let go of certain things, even though I'll feel really bad about it, somewhere.
